All sessions listed below run for a total of 5 classes, with each class being 60 minutes in length. Sessions can either be scheduled over five consecutive days or five days throughout the summer, depending on availability.
DAILY STEM CHALLENGES
Note: If you are looking for a single sesssion, Daily STEM Challenges would be the ideal program

Grades K – 6
Participants will be given a short-term STEM challenge to develop critical thinking skills. Activities will not be as detailed as the sessions listed below, which would require more than one 60 minute session.
Note: These sessions below would requre a 5 session committment, with each session lasting 60 minutes
BEE-BOT

Grades K – 2
Bee-bot’s are small robots that are perfect for teaching children in the primary grades all about robotics and coding.
BRIDGE BUILDING

Grades 3 – 5
Learn all about the various types of bridges and put your knowledge to the test by building a bridge that will hold the maximum load before breaking!
ESCAPE BOXES

Grades K – 6
Escape Boxes use game based learning to harness the excitement of escape rooms to develop critical thinking skills while trying to break into locked boxes.
LEGO BUILD KITS

Grades K – 6
LEGO build kits are a perfect way for participants to build and test STEM concepts in all areas from physics to vehicle design.
PODCASTING

Grades 3 – 6
Have a personal passion that you love to talk about? Learn how to successfully plan and launch a podcast ready to share with the world!
ROMAN TECHNOLOGY

Grades 3 – 6
The early Romans were the technology geniuses with the introduction of games, catapults, and bridges. Participants will explore STEM practices as related to Roman technology.
SCIENCE OLYMPIAD

Grades 3 – 6
Science Olympiad is an international competition where students develop open ended solutions by applying STEM skills to problems that need to be completed within a given time limit.
SODA BOTTLE ROCKETS

Grades 3 – 6
All that is needed is an empty soda bottle to learn all about the history of rocketry to design and build a recovery system after a raw egg has been launched 100 feet into the air.
STORYBOOK STEM

Grades K – 2
Participants will read various versions of popular picture books and conduct hands-on investigations related to a common STEM theme based on the story.
STRAW ROCKETS

Grades K-2
Using straw and a specialized launcher, participants will learn all about the earliest rocket pioneers and the physics behind rocketry as they build and test an array of straw rockets.
VIDEO EDITING

Grades 3 – 6
Do you want to be a YouTuber? Participants will learn how to use basic video editing software to produce a short video, complete with transitions, music, and titles.
